The stories and characters of Greek mythology are uniquely vivid and pervading in the modern world. Dara's practice is drawn to the enduring relationship between myth, art and literature, producing tableaus that often take their inspiration from classical paintings.

Working primarily in etching, dry-point, aquatint and chine-collé, her prints translate these classical subjects through the textures and processes of traditional printmaking.

Alongside her studio practice, Dara holds a PhD in chemical biology/parasitology and works as a postdoctoral research fellow at Queen Mary University London.
